Kovakkai Rice


KOVAKKAI RICE

Ingredients:
cooked rice - 2 cups
kovakkai - 2 cups (cut into rings)
onion - 1 (thinly sliced)
oil - 2 - 3 tbsp
salt to taste

to roast:
(dry roast and grind to a fine powder)
red chillies - 6
corriander seeds - 2 tsp
jeera - 1/2 tsp
khus khus - 1/4 tsp


Method:
- in a pan add oil
- add onions and fry till golden brown
- add kovakkai and salt
- fry till it is cooked and tender
- add the ground powder and mix well
- add the cooked rice
- mix well and serve hot.
