RAVA PONGAL
Ingredients:
rava (roasted)- 1 cup
moong dal (dry roasted) - 1/2 cup
green chilli -1 (chopped)
ginger - 1/2" (finely chopped)
ghee - 3 tbsp
pepper - 1 tsp (coarsely crushed)
jeera - 1 tsp
curry leaves - 15
cashews - 10 (broken)
water - 4 cups
salt to taste
Method:
- in a pressure pan add ghee
- add cashews, pepper and jeera
- add curry leaves and fry
- add the rava, ginger, green chillies and moong dal
- fry well for 2 mins
- add water and salt
- pressure cook for 2 whistles.
