Cauliflower Briyani

CAULIFLOWER BRIYANI
Ingredients:
cooked rice - 2 cups
cauliflower - 2 cups
salt to taste
tomato - 3 (finely chopped)
onion - 2 (finely chopped)
green chillies - 3 (slit in between)
corriander leaves - a handful - chopped
curry leaves - 10 - 15 (chopped)
ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
red chilli powder - 1 tsp
garam masala - 1/4 tsp
cloves, cinamon and cardamom - 1 each
oil - to fry


Method:

- wash and clean the cauliflower
- keep it aside- add oil in a pan
- add the cinnamon, cloves and cardamom
- add green chillies and onions and fry till they turn golden brown
- add tomatoes and ginger garlic paste
- fry till the raw smell goes off and the tomatoes are smashed
- add salt, turmeric, chilli powder, garam masala powder
- add the corriander and curry leaves and fry
- now add the cauliflower and add 1 cup of water and close the pan with a lid
- it will cook in its own juices and when the masala is dry add the rice and mix well
- serve with raita

Very tempting and colorful biriyani... It should be filling too, warm biriyani during this snowy afternoon will be the best any one would ask for!!!
