RAVA IDLI
Ingredients:
Rava – 1cup
Curd – 2 cups
Green chilies – 4
Soda – 2 pinches
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
Curry leaves 10
Salt to taste
Channa dal – 1 tsp
Method:
- slightly roast rava in a dry kadai
- when they change the color to golden brown remove
- add salt and curd, salt and mix well until well mixed
- leave them in room temperature overnight
- next day add oil in a pan
- add the mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves
- add the finely chopped green chilies and then add the channa dal and fry
- when the colour changes add them to the batter
- mix well, add water if necessary and make the batter to idli consistency
- then pour them to greased idli plates, steam and then serve hot !!!
Here I have served them for breakfast with pudina chutney.
