Onion - Coconut Chutney

ONION COCONUT CHUTNEY

Ingredients:
onion - 1 (chopped)
coconut - (grated) - 1 cup
red chillies - 3
salt to taste
ginger - 1/4"

To temper:
oil - 1 tsp
curry leaves - 10
mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
urad dal - 1 tsp



Method:
- grind onion, red chillies, salt, ginger and coconut to a fine paste by adding little water
- in a skillet add oil
- add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves and when the urad dal changes colour add that to the chutney
- mix and serve
- goes well with idli, dosa and pongal.
