Palak Paneer

PALAK PANEER
Ingredients:
paneer - 200 gms ( cut into cubes )
palak - 3 cups (chopped)
onion - 1 (grated)
tomato - 1 (finely chopped)
salt to taste
ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
cumin seeds - 1 tsp
cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, aniseed - 1 each
green chillies - 2 (finely chopped)
red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
corriander powder - 1/4 tsp
oil - 4 - 5 tsp



Method:
- in a pan add the washed chopped palak
- add water and cook, uncovered for 5 - 10 mins
- now grind that to a smooth paste. Do not drain the water
- in a pan add oil
- add the cinnamon, cardamom, aniseed, cloves, cumin seeds
- add the onions and fry till they are brown in colour
- add the tomatoes and salt
- fry till they are smashed
- add the ginger garlic paste and green chillies
- fry for 3 mins
- now add the palak mixture
- add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, corriander powder
- mix well
- allow that to cook for 8 - 10 mins
- if needed add water
- now add the paneer when the mixture is thick
- cook for another 5 mins
- remove and serve
